Xmas Swap with Maria from Queensland

I entered my first Xmas swap and was given the lovely Maria from Queensland,  This is what I sent her in our swap,
I do hope she like the goodies. 

and in return I was sent the following beautiful gifts which I am so over the moon with, I am a hexi person and Maria didn't know this at the time, so thank you so much.



It was very nice to open the above on Xmas day and see how much work and love was put into the swap, so thank you Maria.

Bunting House

This is a lovely pin cushion from Cinderberry Stitchers,  It was fun to make,  Its just to nice to stick pins in now.  Ah well at least its finished and I can look at it on my sewing table.

I not lost, just been busy working

Well have being unemployed for so long 365 days if we must say I finally job a job and its great, the people are so friendly and happy to help.

So not much time to update my blog,  I have been stitching behind the screens and here is one I have finished. 

Is by Leanne Beasley and its called Enjoy the Day.  We got this at a recent sewing day in July.

Time to finish the UFO'S

I spend Saturday doing a work shop with the girls from Max and Louise and we had a great time.  Will show photo's when I have finished my project. 

When I got home Saturday afternoon, I decided that it was time to tackle more of the
"UNKNOWN"  quilt by the girls.  I have spent the last two days cutting hexagons' and circles.  There is just to many to tell ha ha ha.  So today its back to putting them together and may be just look at some of the other UFO's that need to be finished.

April Cottage Cushion designed by Gail Pan - Stiched in Time April day out.

On the 14th April I attended at great day with Gail Pan and Jennifer Knol.  Look what I have now finished, its call April Cottage Cushion by Gail Pan.  I just love this.  It is now in my study on display.  The day was great, Ramona Hermann catered for the food and boy was that awesome.  If you ever get a change to attend a day like this go you will not be sorry.  I have meet lots of new friends.  

"The Unnamed Quilt" Design by Carol Lews of Magic Patch Quilting.

This was designed by my friend Carol Lewis of Magic Patch Quilting.  I just love how it stands out and looks so inviting.  I have recently finished putting the binding on and now its in my study ready to be snuggled up in. 

Jacob's Ladder Quilt by Magic Patch Quilting

This quilt is one of a few we are currently doing in the Little Quilts Club of 2013 

I just love the colours of this quilt.  This was also my first attempt at quilting at home, so there is lots of room for improvement, but all in all I am very happy with this lap quilt. 

Now to find a place to put it on display at home.
